How to get to the Conference Venue
Szeged is located about 170 km from Budapest. The easiest way to reach Szeged is to travel by car or by train. By car, the trip usually takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic, by train, it is around 2-2.5 hours.

By Car
To reach the conference venue from Budapest by car, we recommend to follow the next steps:
- Get on M5 Motorway:
Start by getting onto the M5 motorway. If you are in central Budapest, please find “Nagykőrösi út” and then follow signs for M5 towards Szeged. - Follow M5 Motorway:
Stay on the M5 motorway for approximately 160 kilometers. This motorway directly connects Budapest to Szeged and is well-marked. - Take the Exit towards Szeged:
As you approach Szeged, take the exit for Route 5 55. This is exit 166. - Continue on Route 55:
Follow Route 55 towards Szeged city center. - Navigate to József Attila Study and Information Centre of the University of Szeged:
Once in Szeged, navigate to Ady tér 10, where the József Attila Study and Information Centre of the University of Szeged is located.

By Train
To reach the conference venue from Budapest by train, we recommend to follow the next steps:
- Depart from Budapest-Nyugati:
The train starts from Budapest Nyugati Railway Station. You can buy tickets online through the Hungarian State Railways (MÁV) website or at the station. Look for direct trains to Szeged, they run in every hour.If you travel from Liszt Ferenc Airport, you need to take the bus 200E to “Ferihegy vasútállomás” (Ferihegy Railway Station). The bus tickets can be purchased at the BKK customer service centers located in Terminals 2A and 2B, as well as from BKK ticket vending machines near the terminal entrances. You can also buy tickets in the BudapestGO app that you can download for iOS and Android as well.
- Travel to József Attila Study and Information Centre of the University of Szeged from Szeged Railway Station
By Taxi: Taxis are available at the station. A ride to TIK (József Attila Study and Information Centre of the University of Szeged) takes about 10 minutes.
By Public Transport: You can take a tram or bus from the station. Tickets can be purchased from vending machines or Sales Points. The closest Sales Point to the train station is “MÁV, Relay” which is located in 2, Indóház square.
Tram: Take Tram Line 2 from the station. Get off at the “Szeged, Aradi vértanúk tere” stop. The venue is a short walk from there.
Bus: Take Bus Line 20 from the station. Get off at the “Ságvári Gimnázium – SZTK” stop, which is very close to the conference venue.
